Later in 2002, Pastor N.L. Robinson included WFTR as one of the outreach ministries of the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. Water From The Rock was incorporated in June 2002 as a faith-based, 501c(3), non-profit organization.

In 2005 WFTR moved to a 5,200 square feet facility at 1015 Gibbins Rd., Arlington, Texas.  In June 2019, we moved to our present location, a 10,231 square feet facility at 402 N.L. Robinson Drive, Arlington, Texas. WFTR has evolved into a multi-service organization that assists men and women living in Central Arlington, Texas with free services to enhance their ability to become self-sufficient. WFTR has two paid staff and volunteers who assist with the provision of services to our clients.
Water From The Rock (WFTR) started from humble beginnings in November 1999 as a vision of Deborah Galloway, a Mount Olive Baptist Church member, and was operated out of her garage. The initial focus of the organization was to help low-income women make a successful transition into the workforce by providing them with clothing for job interviews. Ms. Galloway received a grant from United Way of Tarrant County and in January 2002 moved WFTR to a small office in the Arlington Human Services Center at 401 W Sanford Arington, Texas . The core program of the organization remained the same – providing clothing to women, (primarily from the Arlington Life Shelter and Safe Haven), who were trying to obtain employment.
