At Water From The Rock, we take care to provide high quality services. Our staff, instructors, and volunteers are professional, courteous and efficient. We provide a variety of services that focus on helping individuals achieve self-sufficiency.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Picture ID

2. Proof of income from all sources.

3. All individuals must reside in Central Arlington. Central Arlington includes part of zip codes 76010, 76011, 76012, 76013.

4. Individuals must be low to moderate income level.

5. Individuals in need of professional clothing must be referred by a social services agency, and or seeking employment.

Food assistance is provided Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM to individuals living in Central Arlington. Central Arlington includes part of zip codes 76010, 76011, 76012 and 76013. The “drive through” method is used for food distribution. The families and individuals Water From The Rock serve include senior citizens on fixed income, single parents earning minimum wage, chronically ill or severely disabled individuals, the working poor, unemployed workers, the homeless, college students and laid off workers. YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE.

Water From The Rock distributes fresh fruits and vegetables (when available), canned food, meat, bread and pastries to clients to help sustain and stabilize their nutritional and basic needs.

In addition to food, homeless individuals are provided with other supportive services to help them improve their lives. These services include the provision of clothing and "We Care" bags that include hygiene products to help meet their basic needs.

English Language Acquisition/ESL and citizenship preparation classes are provided Tuesday and Wednesday – 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Classes are designed to help participants learn to speak, read, write, and problem solve in English and prepare for the citizenship test.

Life skills and work skills activities are also taught to help students function in their day-to-day environment. Classes are taught by a qualified and experienced instructor from Tarrant County College.

High School Equivalency (HSE)/GED Preparation classes are provided on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM to increase literacy levels of students, prepare them to take and pass the HSE/GED exam and receive their High School Equivalency Certificate.

Classes are taught by a qualified and experienced instructor from Tarrant County College.

Job-readiness services are offered to help individuals secure long-term employment that will lead to self sufficiency.

Clients are served in our boutique Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between the hours of 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins will receive service. Clothes are provided individuals who are going on employment interviews or those who have just started working.

Each client receives one professional outfit for interviewing. After acquiring employment, participants receive three additional outfits to supplement their wardrobe until they receive their first paycheck.
